Drone Racing World Cup 2025 to make historic debut in Riyadh

The Drone Racing World Cup 2025 will take flight in Riyadh in January, with top-tier pilots from over 50 countries racing for glory in the Saudi capital. Scheduled to run from January 23 to 25, the event will unfold in Boulevard City, marking the first time the competition has been hosted in the Middle East.

This year’s event will be sponsored by Riyadh Season, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Alalshikh announced in a statement.

Organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, in collaboration with the World Air Sports Federation (FAI), the championship promises thrilling races with speeds reaching up to 350 kilometers per hour. Competitors will vie for a share of a prize pool exceeding SAR 1 million.

The 2025 edition marks the beginning of an exciting year for drone racing, with subsequent rounds set to take place in countries including Korea, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. Pilots’ performances throughout the year will determine their ranking, with winners earning titles based on their top three results.
