Apple is developing a live translation feature for AirPods, allowing real-time language conversion during conversations, Bloomberg News reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The feature is expected to be part of an AirPods software update later this year, aligning with the launch of iOS 19. This move follows a trend set by competitors like Google’s Pixel Buds, which have offered similar translation capabilities for years.
Apple has yet to comment on the report. Last year, the company introduced a software update enabling AirPods Pro 2 to function as personalized hearing aids. Additionally, Apple is planning a major software redesign for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, set to roll out later this year.
